The Exquisite Canvas: Iness Rychlik
The Exquisite Canvas: Iness Rychlik
We've always believed that design is more than pretty spaces - it's about story, soul, and sometimes a little provocation. Which is why we're beyond excited to launch our second annual Artist Residency at our Montecito studio, in collaboration with our friends at Art Solutions.
This year, we're celebrating the hauntingly beautiful work of Iness Rychlik - the Polish-born artist, photographer, and filmmaker who turns vulnerability into visual poetry. Living with a rare skin condition, Iness uses her own body as a canvas. The result? Self-portraits that are raw, unsettling, magnetic, and unforgettable.
As a female-led studio, House of Honey has always championed women-owned businesses and female artists. Iness's work struck a chord with us - not just for its visual impact, but for the fearless storytelling woven into every frame. Pain and beauty, brutality and softness, feminism and self-reflection - her images are an invitation to feel something real.
"Iness is an artistic innovator - an inspiring and creative visionary," says our founder and creative director, Tamara Honey. "Her photographs explore themes that are powerful, vulnerable and deeply human. We're honored to share her work here at House of Honey."
